Ayurveda & Yoga Immunity Workshop
Dr Bhandari (B.A.M.S.) is an experienced Ayurvedic Doctor and Panchakarma Practitioner with a special interest in Immunity. This Ayurvedic Immunity workshop provides practical tools to help you understand how you have power over your immunity and what natural resources you can use to boost it. This time of year is perfect for boosting Immunity before the cooler months arrive.
Ayurvedic Medicine is first and foremost prophylactic, recognising that most dis-ease can be prevented through lifestyle and diet. This workshop demonstrates lifestyle tools that show a practical preventative approach as well as tools for rebalancing dis-eased states.
The workshop line-up:
8:40am - 9:45am Special AGNI YOGA Class with Tracy Litherland (B.HSc Naturopathy; Dip Yoga; Cert Ayurveda Treatments) who has more than 20 years experience teaching Yoga. Tracy will teach an effective group of Yoga practices that you can use to stimulate and boost your Agni and immunity.
10:00am - 12:00pm Dr Bhandari introduces practical Immunity boosting solutions based on the Medical Discipline of Ayurveda. Ayurveda literally means "Science of Life" and together with Yoga forms 2 of the 3 pillars of the Ancient Indian Culture of Health and Wellbeing. In this session you will learn how to boost your Immunity by building up your AGNI (fire) using Diet; Ayurvedic Cooking; many Culinary Spices found in the average kitchen; Ayurvedic and Western Herbs; Yoga; Pranayama (special breathing practices); and Ayurvedic and Yogic Lifestyle. (non- religious)
12:00pm - 1:00pm Dr Bhandari will provide a personal AGNI test for each workshop guest and further advice on how to balance your AGNI before the flu season arrives.
